Felix y Los Gatos is an Albuquerque-based roots band, and is widely considered to be New Mexico's best party band! We play great dance music, and put on an exciting and riveting live show, blending elements of zydeco, swing, tex-mex, blues and country music! We have been featured at Thirsty Ear Festival in Santa Fe, the Taos Music Festival, and the Telluride Blues Festival. We have opened up for, and shared the stage with the likes of Big Bad VooDoo Daddy, FishBone, Dikki Du & the Zydeco Krewe, Wayne "The Train" Hancock, BeauSoleil, Ozomatli, John Popper of Blues Traveler, Tab Benoit, and many others. We are currently playing at many popular venues throughout the Southwest, including Saint Clair Winery, Zinc, Scalo, One Up Lounge, Savoy Bar & Grill, Monte Vista Fire Station, Route 66 Casino, The Cowgirl, El Farol, The Tin Star, Evangelo's, Santa Fe Band Stand, Buffalo Thunder Casino, and the The Taos Inn. We've played up North in Telluride and in Denver; down South in Tuscon and El Paso; and we've ventured East to Tulsa. Felix Y Los Gatos is fast becoming a top regional act. Felix y Los Gatos has been consistently ranked as one of the area's best bands by newspaper reader's polls in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Our music has been featured locally on these radio stations: 89.1 KANW, 94 ROCK, 89.9 KUNM, 98.1 KBAC, and 101.1KFSR. Our last CD "Green Chili Gumbo" includes Grammy Award winner John Popper of Blues Traveler making a guest appearance on the track "Hot Damn". Our newest album, "OCHO" has now been released, and is receiving rave reviews, including A recent article featured in Albuquerque's alternative newsweekly the ALIBI. We do corporate parties and weddings! References available upon request! We also do a world-folk-jazz show of a more acoustic nature for smaller venues such as bistros or breweries.
